your right leg hangs over the window
while the other shakes the seat
you fall softly on your hands
small rocks dig into your skin
we shut the window
and sit
giggling wondering if the neighbors can see
us
bright yellow and pink light surrounds us
until it feels like we have been here for days
remember the time we ran around your old school?
played on the playground
drew chalk houses
the size of small mansions
ran around the field
lady bugs sat on us
as the sky turns orange
we climb down
you spread the rainbow blanket on the ground
we lie on our back
and watch the sun set
and the stars shine
as we fall asleep
